Why linen
Linen comes from the flax plant, which grows with little water and no irrigation in the cool coastal climates of northern Europe. We use 100% natural French linen — nothing blended, nothing synthetic — because a single natural fibre is easier to trace, easier to care for and easier to return to the earth at the end of its life.
Fewer pieces, worn longer
The most sustainable garment is the one you do not replace. Linen softens with every wash and becomes more comfortable the longer you wear it, so we design underwear that is made to stay in rotation rather than be refreshed each season. Breathable, durable and naturally antibacterial, linen needs less washing and less care than cotton or synthetics.
Made in “Europe”
Our linen is woven and sewn in Turkey, keeping production within a short, well-regulated supply chain close to where the fibre is grown. Short distances mean less transport, closer oversight and a lower footprint than a garment assembled across several continents.
Yes, we know — Turkey is technically on two continents. Our workshop sits firmly on the European side, so we are claiming it, quotation marks and all.
Details that reduce waste
We keep our range deliberately small and our packaging minimal, and we avoid the plastic and filler that usually ends up in the bin within minutes of a parcel arriving. Every decision is weighed against one question: does this make the garment better, or just busier?
An honest kind of progress
We are a small brand and we do not claim to be perfect. Where we can improve — sourcing, packaging, the life of a product after purchase — we would rather say so than overstate it. If you have a question about how something is made, ask us at our contact page and we will answer directly.
